Kitty – What happened here? I thought you were gonna help him?
Red – Kitty, I yelled at him all day! I don't know what else to do!
—Kitty and Red about Eric
Eric's Depression is the 78th episode and 2nd episode of the fourth season of That '70s Show.

Eric stays in bed heartbroken over his break-up with Donna, while the gang decide to go Funland for the day. Kitty implores Red to help Eric, which prompts him to give Eric a bunch of chores to do.

Plot Edit

After ending his relationship with Donna, Eric is disinterested in anything that involves leaving bed, or general hygiene. Kelso, Fez and Hyde try to coerce Eric out of bed, but to no avail and decide to go to Funland without him. Kitty asks Red to cheer Eric up, and Red makes Eric rake the leaves, which leads to an unpleasant confrontation with Donna, which ultimately concludes with Eric going back to bed.

The gang enjoy Funland, save for Woofy the Funland Dog and the Time Barbershop Quartet, which sings the a-capella 'It's Always Fun O'Clock In Funland'. Before they can set up a meeting point, Kelso has disappeared and ends up in the lost and found center with twin boys, who mock him. Kitty and Red talk about break-ups, Kitty revealing that she doesn't have any experience to help Eric with because she's never been heartbroken. Red recalls his first love, Eloise, who broke his heart and how he cried. He tells Kitty he dealt with it fine, but brings Eric out for a pint and to tell Eric that he'll give him a week to get over the break-up.
